At our house, we’re finally ready for the trick-or-treaters tonight! We aren’t expecting very many, so I went all out with these little candy bags. I had so much fun putting them together yesterday!

Every year, the hubs and I have a great time designing & carving a jack-0-lantern for Halloween. He is a huge Georgia Bulldogs fan, so this year we have a “DAWG” welcoming our visitors to our front porch.

For those of you who celebrate Halloween, have a safe & fun night tonight!

This week’s Sunday Spotlight is KimJ’s New Day layout. I love how Kim used the New Day collab kit to record her daughter’s excitement on the first day of school! We can’t deny that her shadows are phenomenal AND THEN she took the dimension to another level by extracting her daughter’s feet and placing them over the frame! Can’t you feel her excitement?!

This week’s Sunday Spotlight is EHStudios’ Lucky layout. I’m a huge fan of Elisa’s layouts, and I remembered seeing her page in my designer gallery this summer. This clean and simple design is absolutely beautiful! I love the way she offset the journal blocks on the left and right of the page and then bordered the bottom of her photo with the swirl & title! Plus, the green accents & metal photo prongs are a great complement to the natural feel of the buffalo photo!

there’s a new line of commercial use, layered, vector alphas at Sugar Hill Co! POWER PATTERNS!
In plaid, polka dots, and houndstooth. Each set is only $1.35

each alpha set includes a set of capital letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and some punctuation – in layered, vector EPS & layered PSD files for easy recoloring & customizing!

now it’s time for another – SUNDAY SPOTLIGHT!
this week’s sunday spotlight will be a little different. i’m spotlighting myself for scrapping anything at all! LOL last saturday, i played in the speed scrap at Sugar Hill Co… it was my first speed scrap ever, and i loved it! i’m really looking forward to the next one, which is this saturday at 9 pm ET! hopefully, you can join us. just stop by the forums on saturday night! you never know what sort of prizes & freebies you’ll find!!

so, here’s what i created last week:

our first instruction for the speed scrap was to choose SIX photos. i chose six of the MANY photos I have of Logan through the seasons. then, the ever-so-generous miss tiina gave us the doodled frame for free to get started! next, following the speed scrap instructions – i added elements from my divine canine kit @ Oscraps & my metro chic paper pack @ Sugar Hill Co. in about an hour i had this completed page ready to be uploaded to the galleries! woot!

I’ve really enjoyed browsing the online galleries recently, and I see some incredible pieces of art that deserve a special shout-out. So…. I’ve decided to start “Sunday Spotlight” ~ just for those layouts that really stand out to me during the previous week!

Last week, I updated & re-released my Recharged Page Kit at Sugar Hill Co. The fantastic Fantacy Bryant created THIS beautiful page with it!

Her journaling is precious & ties in perfectly with the energetic feel of the page, don’t you think?? The little details all work great together – she even moved the blue robot’s eyeballs, so that he’s looking at this COOL photo of her little girl! Sweet!
