i finished up the elements for my new “halloweentown” kit this week, and then i made a couple of pages on scraphd, too. they’ve made a ton of improvements already based on your beta testing feedback. if you haven’t already, check it out and tell them what you think!! @ www.scraphd.com

here’s one of the pages i made:

and i leave you with just this: :)

it’s has me nearly in tears every time i watch it!! hahaha

this past weekend, i started brainstorming a new “dog-themed” page kit… briefly mentioned here. since the only “child” in our current household is a big black furry one, i am frequently inspired to scrap a page about him! and yet, i have never created an animal-friendly kit of my own!

so, i scoured the internet searching for cool, new pet-friendly products to inspire me – and LOOK what i found! i had no idea dog bowls could be sooooo cool!!! these HUGx ERGONOMIC BOWLS come in several different colors are ever-so stylish! available at chewedslippers.com

i now, of course, must have one of these!

ABC News Online article on digital scrapbooking to check out: “Scrapbooking the Digital Way Offers Ease, Speed

http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/WireStory?id=5687185

i have to admit that i was excited to see this published! i love the acknowledgment of our industry, and highlighting the obvious benefits of “going digital” … there’s a very brief mention of hybrid designs, too. so, we know that digital scrapbooking is a growing industry, but does this somehow validate us? because the associated press at ABC News decided to write an article summarizing what we do and love?!

what do you think?

first, i just want to thank hershey’s for their reese’s dark peanut butter cups. mmmmm…. the hubs and i saw a commercial for DARK CHOCOLATE peanut butter cups – immediately, we needed them. and tonight, i had my first sample… oh, they are so delicious!

while eating my peanut butter cups, i was thrilled to see an email from ScrapHD in my inbox! “BETA testing begins today!!” so, i’ve been playing already, and testing some of the cool features! i can’t wait for the full site to be launched for everyone!

sharing your creations is as simple as a single-click! here’s a sample page i made today using the ScrapHD builder:

if you haven’t already, be sure you sign up at ScrapHD.com for future news & updates. katy will be posting on the ScrapHD blog regularly, too. so, keep an eye on that! you can also follow ScrapHD on twitter and friend them on facebook! plenty of ways to keep up with this amazing new site!!

head back to school in style this fall with New Lunchbox! because, every new school year requires a new lunchbox or backpack or both…

while i was designing this kit, i discovered these awesome new Oots lunchboxes! (the containers are dishwasher & microwave safe, there’s a perfect little spot for a water bottle, and the stacked design is a “cool new twist on an everyday staple!”) i would have LOVED carrying one of these to school!

but recently, they served up a lot of inspiration for me! :)

and here’s a little inspiration for you, too!

BONUS!! ct member rayisa (komashyaru) created this wonderful quick page freebie for you, too! click the image to download!

wonderful???!!! just look at this awesomeness!!

the incredible craftsquatch on etsy creates these 100% handmade-to-order, geeky pillows – 12″ x 12″, soft fleece, and so cool. Justin (@Craftsquatch on twitter) says, “keep an eye out for some new kickbutt, nerdy designs continually coming!” he’ll also do custom design orders!

i must have them all. http://mysuitestuff.com/

Just got back from the CHA Craft Supershow in Orlando today!

I got to meet the very awesome masterminds behind ScrapHD.com! I am so excited to tell you about this soon-to-launch site! They’re partnering with some of the biggest names in traditional scrapbooking {7gypsies, American Crafts, Art Gone Wild!, Imaginisce, Jenni Bowlin Studio, Karen Foster Design, Mrs. Grossman’s, My Mind’s Eye, Piggy Tales, SEI, Teresa Collins Designs, and Three Bugs in a Rug} plus some familiar digital designers including yours truly! ScrapHD combines the two genres for the perfect hybrid relationship! Head over to ScrapHD.com to sign up for private beta testing of the site (happening in a week or so)!

The booth was a big hit at CHA!

Ryan + Katy + Ross = brilliant!

I also got to meet Mikkel of Mikkel Paige Originals and digital scrapper Tammy D! Mikkel and I have been selling at Oscraps for a while, and we recently created this Grape Vine collab kit! Tammy and I met while she was trying out a live demo of the ScrapHD site!

One of the coolest products I saw was this personal letterpress kit by Quickutz, which is set to be released in October! I’ve already put a bug in Hubs ear for this Christmas gift… LOL It works with acrylic or hard plastic plates that create a debossed texture with or without ink ~ really nice for cards, invitations, etc.

Hubs and I were lucky enough to stay at the beautiful Portofino Bay Hotel in Universal ~ wow! Special thanks to Mikkel for hooking us up! ;) We felt like we had taken a quick vacation to Italy! Ha!

After a wonderful couple of days, “I’m back in G-A & life is good today.”
