So, c’mon, join in the fun, and scrap with us this week. Let’s do a “Do Over”. Have you ever had a moment when you want to redo it and have a do over?? I sure have, and I definitely have some lo’s like that too that I want to redo as my scrapping style has changed and I discover beautiful new kits, techniques, etc.

Here’s the challenge. Look in your gallery for an older lo that you would like to do over. Using that lo as inspiration, scraplift yourself, and make sure that you use that same photo in your new lo.

After you complete your new lo, post a link to it and the original lo in the comments so that we can all leave you lots of love in the gallery. Can’t wait to see your creations.

I can not believe that summer is almost over…where did it go?? I am going to miss it, but the truth is I am ready to put away my pastel colored clothes and scrapping kits and transition into darker, bolder colors.

I wanted to share a few kits Danielle has in her Oscraps store now that you can use to make your fall layouts. I know some of you are already having this season and have your pictures ready.

So first up is:
Chasing Falling Leaves

This kit has the cutest little turkey and I just love those word blocks. I can just see all the layouts with pictures of the kindergarten students with their pilgrim hats and Indian faces painted using this kit. Am going to go see if I can find that one of my DD from when she was in kindergarten…..it was only 24 years ago…I must still have it around here somewhere..LOL!! Come on Mommies, you know you don’t discard things like that.

Now, are you ready for our next challenge? This week I am challenging you to ‘think blue’. Monochromatic layouts aren’t as difficult to do as you would think. In this type of LO you pick one color and use its various shades or tones, plus black or/and white to either add some contrast or to soften it a bit.

I have provided a LO to get you thinking. When I first started this page I ended up with quite a few different ‘blues’ which really turned out to be one ‘big mess’!! So I started again, and this time I selected only ONE SHADE of blue and then used the Adjust Colour – Adjust Hue & Saturation tool to either darken or lighten the papers and elements I wanted to use. I really hope you join in the fun and move outside your comfort zone, we are all really looking forward to seeing your pages!!

Scrap The Date:

For the challenge we are going to “Scrap the Date”.

8 – pieces of paper (4 solid and 4 patterned)
9 – buttons, brads, or staples (or a combo of all)
2 – pictures
0 – flowers (yes this means no flowers in your LO)
0 – frames
9 – ribbons, bows or ricrac (or combo of all)

You are welcome to add more to your LOs but be sure to follow the above directions first!! No more no less of the items listed. Also you can use the same element more than once. You need to use at least 50% Danielle Young products as well.

You have two weeks to complete this challenge. I will be back on Sunday August 23rd to announce TWO random winners. These winners will receive their favorite Danielle Young kit. So when you link us up with your LO please also let us know what that favorite kit is!!! Can’t wait to see all of your beautiful creations!!!
